Cinnamon Sugar Donut holes

Growing up when my grandparents would come to visit, my Pop Pop would always stop and bring Dunkin Donuts with him. It was always the biggest treat in our house, because he would let us eat them in bed with him in the mornings while he and my grandma enjoyed their coffees ( they were of the generation that did not go downstairs until fully made up for the day, so morning nibbles and coffee where always consumed in bed or their room at least!)

I will never forget the pure joy that I felt when I would grab my favorite donut from the mix, biting into the soft pillowy dough with pure excitement and appreciation for all that a donut is. I always went for the basic flavors; plain cake donut, or cinnamon sugar donut holes. That was it for me, I am a basic donut girl to this day and it will never change.

Bringing this back to modern day, I am still that same young girl who truly enjoys the simple pure joy of a donut, but I prefer mine to have ingredients in them that do good things for me. Insert my healthy donut recipe and these amazing raw donut holes that were created in honor of my grandfather.

These little donut holes are raw, that means no baking at all, and they take a total of 10 minutes to make 14 balls, which means that honestly less than 1 minute of energy went into making a treat that will give you energy, keep your blood sugar stable, and provide nutrients for your body, while tasting like a donut…THAT IS A WIN!

Servings: 14 Balls

Ingredients:

1/2 cup cashews
10 dates
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons chia seeds
2 scoops of @vitalproteins collagen
2 tablespoons of cinnamon


For the topping :
2 tablespoons coconut or regular sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon

Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a blender/food processor except for the water and pulse until combined, slowly add in the water until it starts to form one large ball
2. Take and roll into 14 little balls and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture
